Dr. Derek Michaud and staff are friendly, professional, and relaxed. He has been my dentist for many years and I would follow his practice anywhere! He is also cost conscious and carefully explains options. Best of all: he listens attentively and he works very hard to provide care that is pain-free.

Dr. Michaud is the nicest friendliest dentist I ever worked with having had several (lived in 5 states). Plus practical and fees are very reasonable for a non-chain practice.  After getting braces I needed an office close to orthodontist. Ironically I ended up back in the same office suite used by my last dentist before he moved across Clark Co. turning my 5 minute drive into 25 (followed for hygienist who only worked Mondays not him 🙂

Logistics became untenable for every 5 week 3 part process (wire out, cleaning, wire back in). So I tried this practice based on reviews and so happy I did. I appreciate hygienist Bree working to meet my specific water cleaning needs and office manager Marcy who has patience of a saint since ortho still has limited hours.

I could not be happier with the care I received here. I was referred by a friend after having an accident. Friendly and listened to my concerns and didn't push unnecessary procedures.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Michaud and his team. Comfort and your well-being are their top priority. I have a lot of sensitivity and getting my teeth cleaned there is a breeze. I just had two cavities filled, and even getting the shot to numb the area is no problem. If you are having any discomfort, they take it seriously and fix the problem. You will never get services pushed on you that are not necessary, and you will never feel shame for any issues with your teeth. They are kind, highly skilled, and just all around fantastic people. If you have feared and hated going to the dentist before, give them a try. I've never had a dental experience like this and they have a patient in me and my family for as long as they are in business. They are amazing!!

I am new to the Camas area and needed to find a new dentist.  After doing some research I decided to try NW Affinity Dental.  I'm so glad to have found a great dentist and office right away.  Ive had an initial meeting and cleaning with them and a filling replaced.  Dr. Derek is very professional and takes the time to explain everything.  He makes you feel quite comfortable.  The office has state of the art technology, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.  I highly recommend this office!

I first started coming to Affinity Dental, because my daughter (7yo) was a patient of Dr. Derek Michaud (who was highly recommended). After a few of her visits, I experienced how charismatic and passionate he was in dentistry, not to mention how wonderful and extremely ineractive he was with my daughter. He made her feel very comfortable and made her smile with silly analogies that she could understand about tooth care. After that I was sold and have recently been seeing him as well. Friendly, professional staff. Dr. Michaud examines your teeth thoroughly and makes down-to-earth, logical recommendations. The entire staff listens to you. I moved away from Vancouver in 2012 and have recently returned. I'm so thankful that Dr. Michaud and his staff are here.

I will never go anywhere else for dental work. I had a horrible experience at another dentist recently and was horrified about getting any dental work. After having been told I needed a root canal or to have a tooth pulled, Dr. Michaud decided to go in and see if we could save my tooth. He saved me a ton of money and a painful procedure by caring enough to just check first. My tooth and I are happily still together. And I love the rest of the staff!

I love these guys.  Going to the dentist is not my usual favorite thing to do but the staff make it a good experience.  Dr. Michaud is excellent and he does not try to do work you don't need.  He has your best interests at heart.

Had HORRIBLE anxiety about anything dental related! Went and met with Dr. M and his team about two weeks before actually getting my work done. Just had some work done two days ago and can't believe I waited as long as I did to finally get it taken care of. The BEST dentist, hands down!! He cares more about the patient and how they are doing during the procedure. He doesn't rush you to get in and out of his office, like a lot of other places. I will never go anywhere else! Recommend to anyone and everyone afraid of anything dental related

Do you hate going to the dentist or hygienist?  Do you love going to the dentist ?  In either case, this is your place! Since I loathe going to the dentist (read great anxiety here), I am very picky about choosing my dentist.  Dr. Michaud's office feels like home.  The entire staff are very welcoming and friendly and offer coffee and tea in the comfy waiting room with lots of magazines.
Dr. Derek Michaud is a relaxed professional who individualizes the plan for dental work.  He is funny and personable and genuinely takes an interest in the health of your teeth.  He is aware of the cost of dentistry and is realistic about how long you can wait before doing a repair, so not pushy.  I want a dentist that is a quick expert, yet compassionate and caring.  He asks me frequently about pain (pain is scary!) And if I indicate that I am uncomfortable, he changes what he does.  He changed offices a few years ago and I changed with him.  He explains dentistry in easy to understand terms.
His hygienist, is equally awesome.  I cannot recommend him more and you will not be disappointed in his dental care.

Best dental experience I've had with my daughter. She is usually very shy with new people and they actually got her to open her mouth and cleaned her teeth. Afterwards she got to play with all the staff. It's been a couple weeks now and she's still asking to go back!

I am very happy to be a patient at this office! Dr. Michaud is a rarity in that he does not rush through procedures, I had a few old fillings replaced and the visit was so smooth and easy. He's also honest about whether future dental work can wait or if a tooth is about to explode. I'm one of those weirdos that likes to get my teeth cleaned. Jen is the hygienist I saw and she is very thorough and friendly. I left feeling reborn. The whole staff is entirely too cheerful Obviously, it's a great place to work and patients get fantastic care!

Happy to have a found a great dentist! Every one is very personable and friendly, i definitely recommend showing up 20 minutes early for appointments because they have the best massage chair ever, i may have to stop in just for fun to relax! lol

Dr. Derek is a very caring dentist. He always takes the time to explain all of the options in an easy way to understand. He is the dentist for my whole family.

He is also very supportive of our community. Recently he donated dental supplies for my wife to take too children in Guatemala.

Dr Michaud ( pronounced Me Show) was recommended to me by my husband...that is an important detail because my husband was one of Dr Michaud's teachers during dental school.  I am used to being seen by dentists of the highest caliber. I also have a sensitive bite that has to be finely tuned. Not all dentists are highly skilled in this area. I am happy to say that with Dr Michaud, I feel that I am in the hands of an exceptionally talented dentist that really cares that his patients receive the best care possible!  You can go to other dentists, but you will rarely get this level of care! Truthfully, it starts at the front desk and continues with every person in the office. You cannot go wrong by choosing Dr Michaud of NW Affinity Dental.

To shorten the painful saga story, I have had a rocky dental history.  I do know that the treatments I had from past dentist made me nervous and uncomfortable but I had no idea that I was not receiving the quality dentistry I should've been.  I saw x-ray pictures from a specialist and Dr Derek Michaud that show the "cut corner" procedures that had been done by other offices.  I was impressed and thoroughly pleased with the explanation & outstanding care they provide at NW Affinity Dental.  It was not the dreaded visits I was used to instead I felt relieved & valued.

Dr. Derek Michaud comes very highly recommended and that says a lot from a person that hates going to the dentist! Years ago, at another dentist, I had a very painful experience, so I am very, very picky when it comes to choosing my dentist. Dr. Michaud listens carefully to my concerns and always is very careful and considerate when he does fillings. When I needed a root canal and crown, he made certain that everything was very numb before starting to work and frequently reassessed for any discomfort. He was gentle and efficient as my goal is to have my dentistry done painlessly and efficiently and he is a master at that! The staff is very friendly and always concerned about my welfare. I have seen Dr. Michaud for many years and will continue forever.

If you're looking for a dentist, Dr. Michaud and his team are top notch. Explain everything before they do a procedure, are compassionate and fun. Glad I switched.

I have been seeing Dr Derek Michaud for the past 9 years! He really takes the time to explain everything to his patients and has always given me high quality dentistry! His office is very relaxed and it feels like I'm going to visit my friends instead of a dreaded dental visit. I actually ENJOY going to my appointments! I just had my first visit to NW Affinity Dental for a cleaning and x-rays. It's in a great location and the office is modern and clean. The staff was great... Vicki greeted me right away and I got taken back immediately. Jen did a great job with my cleaning and was fun to chat with. She even gave me some free dental goodies to take home. Derek is a wonderful and very personable dentist. I really liked the way he explained what was going on with my teeth, where we needed to go and how we were going to get there.
